《#Pokémon GO》宣布，為了讓訓練家們可以盡量避免外出增加感染新冠肺炎的機率，因此官方將進行遊戲內的更新，將訓練家們平常碰到道館的半徑距離，以及參加道館團體戰的半徑距離，在這段時間內暫時提升為平常的兩倍。
讓訓練家們可以藉此在與其他訓練家保持距離的狀況下，依然可以一起參加道館團體戰，或是轉動道館或補給站領取各種道具。
